Return Policy

  • Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) must be obtained from our customer service team before any merchandise can be returned. Materials may not be returned nor credit allowed without the Seller's prior authorization.
  • No refunds of any nature will apply to electronic hardware or parts. This applies for both Special Order Materials and In stock materials.
     
  • In-stock materials may not be returned nor credit allowed without the Seller's prior authorization.

    Authorized returns of in stock materials in good saleable condition after inspection will be credited at invoice price less restocking (25%) and handling charges. Saleable condition means new merchandise in original, undamaged and unmarked boxes accompanied by a valid receipt and returned within 30 days of order delivery. Stock items are identified by the Stock Keeping Unit (SKU), also know as the HardwareChimp Item #. Stock Keeping Units SKU's containing just a number with no Alpha prefix or suffix qualify as in stock materials. (The only exception to this is the SKU 9990 which is our designation for Special Order) The SKU number for each item is located on the Order Receipt.
     
  • Special order materials are non-returnable. At the sellers discretion, special order items may be offered back to the manufacturer for a minimum restocking fee of 50%. If the manufacturer denies our request for return authorization claim we will notify you that the return claim has been declined. No Special order materials are returnable after 30 days from delivery. Special order items are identified by the (Stock Keeping Unit(SKU) (also know as the HardwareChimp Item # ). Stock Keeping Units (SKU's) beginning with a prefix of 9990, DS, IRFT, TURBO, NS qualify as special order materials. The SKU number for each item is located on the Order Receipt.

  • Return shipping expenses for the return of products are the responsibility of the customer.

  • Product replacements will be shipped back to the customer at no additional expense.

  • Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) are valid for (30) days only. Return Merchandise will not be issued credit until the merchandise has been received and inspected by the returns department.

  • All items purchased by check require a 15 - day waiting period before a return may be authorized. All items purchased by credit card will be credited to the original credit card only.


How to Initiate a Return

To initiate a return if have an account username and password

  1. Click "My Account" (located at the top of the HardwareChimp.com home page)
     
  2. Login to Your Account using your username and password
     
  3. Click "Details" Link located to the right of the order number you would like to return
     
  4. Select the item(s) you want to return using the check box next to the appropriate product
     
  5. Click "Return Items" Link located below the Sold To of the order
     
  6. Modify the return quantity for each item you would like to return
     
  7. Select your return reason
     
  8. Let us know if an identical replacement product is required
     
  9. In the Request Form of the page please review/modify your name, email address, phone number, and comments
     
  10. Click Submit (You product return request will be sent to our return goods department for review).

    The HardwareChimp return goods department will review your return request and initiate a Return Material Authorization as appropriate. Please follow and complete the instruction found in your HardwareChimp.com Return Status email you will receive.
     

To initiate a return if you do not have an account username and password

  1. Click "Your Account" (located at the top of the HardwareChimp.com home page)
     
  2. On the right hand side of the page establish a new user account. Enter a Username, Email, First Name, Last Name, Password)
     
  3. Click Create New
     
  4. Please use our Customer Service - Contact Us Form to send us a New Username Return Request.
    Include the following information

    - Name
    - Company (if applicable)
    - Email
    - Phone
    - Note the following :  Your Order Number and New User Name

  5. Upon receipt of the above request our customer service department will connect your new account to your existing order so we can process your return requst.  This process will help to ensure that your return is processed quickly and properly.
